In what has to be one of the biggest misuses of the law I’ve seen in a really long time, Philadelphia judge Teresa Carr Deni decided that a rape case involving a prostitute should be bumped down to “theft of services,” since that’s the line of work that the young lady was involved in. Of course, that doesn’t appear to keep ind mind the fact that she was assaulted at gunpoint by four men after agreeing to have sex with two individuals for money.
Say what you want, but that’s just screwed up.
