Don’t throw your guns in the air for NYE

If you’re in Dallas, keep in mind that you’ve been warned by the police not to fire your guns to celebrate New Year’s tonight. Those bullets have gotta come back down somewhere, you know.

Birmingham, AL seems to feel this way, too. Are we supposed to be surprised of this?

More dogsledding

Did some more dogsledding today, had an awesome time out there for about 90 minutes or so. The dogs are just crazy awesome. Will post some more photos later. So wishing I had a video camera to use the whole time I’m out there cruising along. More soon!

Flooding at SFO

Figured some of you who hadn’t caught it yet might have appreciated the flooding of boiling water into the hallway at SFO in Terminal 1.

Photos here.

O RLY, airlines?

Just caught a note at Gothamist pointing out an NBC4 story about airlines looking to turn over the airline passenger “bill of rights.” Um, right.

It’s all about the context

The defective yeti blog has long been one of my favorites, as it features a healthy mix of funny, enlightening commentary alongside some really smart stuff. That’s definitely the case with this post from yesterday about wreath-making. Needless to say, it’s one that I think most of us who have a heavy interest in one area or another could definitely relate to The Queen’s comments about making a wreath with incongruent materials. I mean, c’mon. Who’d do something like that?

Falling with, or for, Ford?

The Agonist’s Sean Paul Kelley makes a huge point about the price of Ford on the stock market – in the $6 range – and whether or not that’s a buy sign or not. I hadn’t really had them on my radar of late so I just didn’t realize that’s where they were at and I’m kind of staggered by it, frankly. that makes me want to take a serious look at it from a long-term buy perspective, but I would have to ask the same thing – is it still high, price-wise?
