“Under God”
In case you hadn’t heard, the Supreme Court of the USA is looking into whether “under God” should be part of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The way things have become a joke in this country lately, it’ll probably be removed, which means we’ll be reprinting all of the money, because you know, even though I’m not at all offended by the pledge’s words, we can’t have a double standard. And if the SCOTUS folks really want to start playing, we’ll play hardball too. Reprint the money. All of it. Then someone will finally see a “cost” to the stupidity and literal-ness that’s going on in this world. Don’t want to say the pledge of allegiance? Fine, sit down or don’t reference “God”. Is nothing sacred (in a layman kind of way, of course)? Sheesh. If we’re going to disregard anything our forefathers came up with as being way too religious or whatever, then we’ll just write our own Constitution, Bill of Rights, blah blah blah. Let’s start now.
Remember that saying “He who dies with the most toys, wins”? Well here, it’s “He who bitches about everything, irrelevant of being the majority (moral or otherwise), wins.”
