Michael Bay’s awesome ad
I can’t help but continue to laugh at Michael Bay’s absolutely fantastic (dare I saw “awesome?”) advertisement for Verizon’s FiOS product that’s running on television all over the place for the last few weeks. The reason it slays is that Michael Bay continuously makes everything bigger and badder (awesome?), something that he’s poked fun at for on the reg.
Goofy or not, I think it makes the product larger than life and seizes on the obnoxiousness of the action movie genre. Self-deprecating humor is something that a lot of people don’t have the ability to pull off, but I think Bay does a great job here.
